Mode Virtual/Online

ABOUT

The AIEC Global Investment Conference is a gathering of African entrepreneurs, economic contributors and stakeholders including government, corporate business, investors as well as African students, who account for the largest youth population in the world. The event is planned for 25th-26th March. 2021.

This year’s event will be held virtual from Cape Town to discuss investment opportunities in Africa’s most advanced economy. Over USD$8,3 Billion dollars of investment commitments were made our previous conferences, as leaders from business, government, and the investment community forged relationships and explored ways to reignite growth in Africa.

This past 14 months has seen unparalleled economic challenges as a result of the global Coronavirus pandemic and associated preventative measures. It remains AIEC’s priority to continue to work towards an improved investment environment and engage with business, investors and other stakeholders. It is not possible to hold large physical events considering the current predicament of COVID-19 and thus, the 2021 AIEC Global Investment Conference will be a largely virtual event, allowing for participation of stakeholders from across the world.

The conference promotes entrepreneurship as a platform to transform the economic narrative of the African continent through wealth and job creation. The Conference offers an influential network of African entrepreneurs from which all entrepreneurs can leverage. This event will facilitate robust dialog and opportunities for business marketing and growth through direct contact between investors and entrepreneurs on the continent and diaspora to foster collaboration. This will create a conducive environment for exchanging ideas and knowledge and is planned to attract USD$15 Billion dollars investment for African entrepreneurs.

With the opportunity that the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCTA) provides, investors have an opportunity to participate in the untapped potential of an integrated continent. AfCTA allows for African countries to work together in a trade tariff-free environment, making Africa a dynamic force in the international arena. The three biggest economies on the continent have added their combined economic might to the AfCTA with the intention to stimulate Africans to invest in Africa and boost intra-continental trade.
