ABOUT

We'd love you to join our club for 2021. Though official road running events are not yet live again, we want to make it easy, fun and exciting to run with our club. So, here's what we have to offer you:






  • Social runs: every Monday in Kleinmond, Tuesday in Betty's Bay and Thursday in Pringle Bay.
  • Supported monthly long runs to be arranged over the weekends. These will include both trail and road runs and will be posted on our Facebook page: Hangklipathleticsclub with route info, times and support details.
  • Out of town runs: we'll travel together to join clubs in surrounding towns for their long runs.
  • Support on club runs: this to include Coke and water tables and sweep vehicles / runners where applicable.
  • Time trials to be held once a month on a Monday in Kleinmond. Flat run, with an official timekeeper every month for the 5km route. Times to be officially uploaded and awards given to members with the best progress at the end of the year.
  • Walking group: Walkers welcome! There will be dedicated walking groups at the various club social runs.
  • Free Nutrition assistance for members interested done by Jacqui Botes.
  • Quarterly Socials: social events will be held once a quarter for members and their families to attend. This will be held at a different venue each quarter. The club will offer a meal on sale or it will be a bring and eat.
  • Club Website to be created. All club information will be available on the website. Also a calendar of road and trail events, when these are happening.
  • Monthly Newsletter: This email newsletter will contain news as well as running & Nutrition tips.
  • Club events: Road Races to be arranged as soon as COVID regulations allow. The provisional date set for our club's own event is 24 September 2021.
  • Year-end awards evening: this not-to-be-misssed event will celebrate all achievements during the year.
  • Club kit: new club vests and T-shirts to be designed. Prices to be announced soon.
  • Discounted fees for couples and families.
  • Once official events are open again, you'll be able to purchase a Boland Athletics license for R 100. This is NOT compulsory.
