3RD ANNUAL PENSION FUND & INVESTMENT HYBRID CONFERENCE

Wed May 26, 08:00 - Fri May 28, 15:30

Lagoon Beach Hotel & Spa

ABOUT

For the first time, the Pension Fund and Investments Conference returns as a hybrid event that combines in-person attendance with a newly developed digital experience. As we mark the beginning of a new decade, pension funds continue to face a barrage of challenges. The outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, the associated lockdowns and the related economic downturn had a severe impact on Africa`s pension funds and investments. This may result in catastrophic consequences going forward, impacting retirement savings, retirement savings schemes, providers, regulators and supervisors, potentially leading to future lower incomes. Meanwhile, employees are relying on their employers for their pension plans to continue as normal.

Globally, pension funds are critical drivers of development and the demographic dividend in sub-Saharan Africa provides pension funds with a window of opportunity to rethink their portfolio strategy. Combined with the uncertain

economic climate, the corona virus outbreak that has created significant chaos on financial markets leaving pension funds under severe pressure, now is a time to take stock and explore the investment options that are available to clients.

We are confident that our comprehensive hybrid program will deliver the knowledge-rich conference experience that has supported learning and development in our industry over the years. This platform offers many exciting possibilities, and we hope you will join us as we rise to the challenges and opportunities of a new decade.

We welcome back our long-term supporters and look forward to engaging with new organisations.
