Drink Chenin Day has become a highlight on the international wine calendar and one which truly shines the spotlight on South African Chenin Blanc, engaging millions of wine consumers across the world each year across industry events, at cellar doors and on social media.
This year on 18 June, it is all about the effortless love affair between Chenin and sushi! We aim to combine our love for Chenin and sushi with our love for the restaurant industry, and survive this crazy COVID time together. Join us for an unforgettable experience of pairing various elements of Japanese cuisine with 4 different styles of Chenin Blanc. The hosts are Ken Forrester and Cathy van Zyl, MW and top Japanese sommelier, Taku Inguro will share his sushi and Chenin knowledge.

The event takes place at Ken Forrester Wines tasting room in Stellenbosch with food prepared by the acclaimed Genki's Sushi and Japanese Tapas bar.
Please book for either one of the sessions, at 11:00am or 13:00 (15:00 SOLD OUT). Seating is limited to 20 guests, to allow for COVID-comfortable enjoyment of the day. The tasting will start with a welcome drink upon arrival, with the sushi and potsticker pairing to follow. Each session will last a total of 1.5 hours, and guests must please depart after the completion of their session, to allow for set-up and arrival of the following session.
