Help Princess Get To Med School!

About

Good day everyone! My name is Princess Ijeoma, and I am a 24-year-old aspiring doctor. For as long as I can remember, being a Medical Doctor has been my dream. I have always had a deep-seated interest in how the body works and the science behind it all. I have a healing nature and that has always been the backbone for my love of medicine. I take great delight in the joy people express after healing

In pursuance of this dream, I have obtained an undergraduate degree in Medical Sciences and an Honours in Pharmacology both from the University of Pretoria in South Africa. I have tried entering into Medicine in South African Universities with no success. The closest I’ve gotten was being wait-listed at the University of Witwatersrand in South Africa. Unfortunately, I didn’t get admitted, but this didn’t stop me. I was then introduced to an opportunity to study Medicine in Europe at a comparable cost. I applied and was subsequently accepted at Dnipropetrovsk Medical Institute of Traditional and Alternative Medicine in Ukraine. My dream was finally coming together.

My family has been very supportive of my dreams. Growing up my mom stepped back from work to make sure that my siblings and I had a normal upbringing and stable home where we were nurtured and cared for. In doing this, my dad became the sole breadwinner of the family. He had thrived in his field having taught and supervised a plethora of masters and Ph.D. students over the years. In 2019 however, we found ourselves faced with financial challenges as my dad had fallen victim to academic-based xenophobia in his workplace and lost his job. The financial challenges that came with this development are better imagined. We are hopeful that things will take a turn for the better soon. My parents raised us to believe that we can achieve anything we put our minds to. They have been my source of strength throughout this journey. I would like to relieve some of the financial pressure they are under at the moment and come to the community for assistance.

The requirements for my first academic year at Dnipropetrovsk Medical Institute of Traditional and Alternative Medicine are set up as follows: Three installments are required. The first two installments of £2500 each have been paid up. The last one is £ 4300. The challenge now is to raise the last amount. God has helped us thus far and would not leave us halfway. I have come to an agreement with the university to pay up my last instalment in three separate parts by the end of November, and with your help I have managed to pay the first two parts of £ 2000! Thank you so so much everyone! We're hoping to still raise funds for the final £ 2300 but I am not giving up hope.

A single person may not be able to fund this request, but there is strength in numbers. Thank you for your continued support!
