It is with great excitement that we are ending our 2021 festival season off with the Shakespeare Schools Festival Online! 

The COVID19 global pandemic has taken us by storm and as a festival, we have been fortunate enough to have taken to the online space to continue the work that we do. This all could not be possible without our amazing funders, staff, educator and learner participants.

While we were able to return to the stage in 2021, under strict COVID19 protocol, there were some schools/ groups who could not and who opted to get creative and turn their plays for the stage into plays for film! This allowed us the opportunity to host the very first Online International Shakespeare Schools Festival, with participants from our festivals in South Africa, Estonia and Malawi.

We hope that audiences enjoy this one last festival offering for the year from the comfort and safety of their own homes, as the year draws to a close! 

Congratulations to all of our participants, who worked incredibly hard under challenging circumstances to bring us these beautifully creative works of art.
