Make a difference this Mandela Day!

In our own special way of making a difference, Ubuntu Adventure Tours (https://www.ubuntuadventuretours.com) would like to adopt an NGO; Red Rocks Initiatives in Rwanda (www.redrocksinitiative.org.)

The founder of Ubuntu Adventure Tours Cardinale Matill (https://www.facebook.com/cardinale.matill) volunteered at Red Rocks Rwanda for 8 months in 2021.

This Mandela Day please help me make difference in these Women's lives. Red Rocks Initiative (www.redrocksinitiative.org) has over 55 Women part of female co-operatives in 3 sectors. These women work so hard from dusk till dawn. They take care of their families with the bare minimum. Relying mainly on tourism- life has been more challenging for them over the past 2 years.

Despite these challenges, the Village has been selected as part of the novel World Tourism Organization's -Best Tourism Villages project. One of 44 destinations that were celebrated at the just held 24th UNTWO General Assembly in Madrid Spain. Nkotsi Village brings together communities around the Virunga Mountains to promote sustainable development by involving the local community in programs that improve their livelihood through Environmental Conservation.

Ubuntu Trust Vision 2030 was established in 2020. Our goal is to create a network between South Africa and Rwanda. One of our project aims will be to choose 9 NGO leaders from the 9 provinces in South Africa -to experience first -hand Rwanda's Model regarding Community-based Tourism and what Sustainable Development is all about. This will create perfect networking opportunities between the 2 countries to fight poverty and in return empower our irrespective communities through skill development programs.
