Scorpion Walk

The Sheds, Crocodile River Reserve

ABOUT

It's all about Scorpions at our September Walk and Talk!

Learn from South Africa’s leading expert, Jonathan Leeming, all about these special little creatures at our September Walk and Talk.

They are not nearly as scary as they look, and like many other venomous animals, do not deserve the reputation they have been saddled with.

These exceptional arachnids can live without water or food for up to a year and can be found almost anywhere on earth except areas of extreme cold, and the highest of mountain peaks. With approximately 150 species to be found in South Africa alone, they deserve to be recognized for their remarkable ability to adapt and survive almost anywhere, under almost any conditions.

This event is very family orientated and the excitement of having braved the ‘hold a scorpion in your hand’ challenge will give any child something to brag about to their friends.

Bring the whole family and join us at The Sheds @ Birdsong, Gemstone Rd, Crocodile River Reserve on Saturday the 9th of September from 8h30 to 11h30 and enjoy an informative and fun filled morning outdoors. The costs are R85.00 per adult and R45.00 for children under 12. Don't forget your hats and sunscreen, and comfortable walking shoes.
