ABOUT
Cape Town's favourite experimental space is back! Play Things is a space for established artists and up-and-coming creatives to share new work. It's a place to play, and share your play-like things: from theatre to burlesque, comedy to poetry and much more.
Originally founded by Jon Keevy as a monthly event at the Alexander Bar and Theatre, Play Things was a space for sharing plays-in-progress and testing new theatrical material. In 2019, Sophie Joans took it over and hosted a series of successful events every month until the Alexander Bar and Theatre closed. Play Things has been the springboard for many full length productions.
