American swimmer Lynne Cox has had an unmatched career of open-water swims.

The Bering Strait, Gibraltar, Cape Point, Magellan Strait, Cook Strait and an ice mile in Antarctica were all world firsts and are just a few of her amazing achievements.


Today she's a known motivational speaker and author of 7 books.

Join CLDSA for our third session of the 2022 COLD WATER CAPERS where we will discuss her incredible swimming achievements with Lynne and explore her current passions.


CLDSA has been administering registered swims around the Cape Peninsula since the late 1960s.

Time: 19h30 (45 min followed by Q&A) South African Standard Time (SAST)

Venue: The session will be on-line via Zoom. Log-in details will be sent to you 2-3 hours before the event.

Ticket costs:

  • Tickets are free for CLDSA members up to the first 40 members.
  • Please note that the tickets will be validated against our current members list.
  • After the first 40 tickets, CLDSA members will have to purchase non-member tickets. CLDSA membership has started again for the new swim year on 1 July 2021. To take our membership for the new swim year, please visit our website: CLDSA Membership Application.
  • Tickets are R100 for non-members.


All profits will go towards CLDSA fundraising efforts.
