Join us on 29 May for the last Musical Imagery before we break for winter, with beautiful early afternoon music, food and drink at 26 Selby Road, Mowbray! 

This edition features a special double bill with a solo set from talented instrumentalist and vocalist Grant van Rooyen followed by a set of all original music from the Gabriel Espi Trio. 

Gabriel Espi is a songwriter, musician and producer who works with unusual grooves and intimate themes and loves finding music in every little corner of life. After years of performing across Cape Town and Johannesburg, 2021 saw Gabriel make the step of releasing his debut 'Intimations' EP. The Gabriel Espi Trio features Tiana Amari on bass and Timothy Fortes on drums alongside Gabriel Espi on vocals and guitar/keys. 

Grant van Rooyen is a bassist, vocalist, writer and composer who has performed at venues and festivals across South Africa. After years as a much-loved session musician, recently he’s been focusing on performing and releasing his own material.
