We love R&B but we missed Hip Hop! We're launching a new platform with Heineken focusing on the genre that first got us spitting rhymes, making beats, and going to the club.

To set it off, we got one of our favourite rappers Bas representing the Dreamville and THE FIENDS.

Always balancing his bravado with a relatable sense of humility, Dreamville’s first signee, Bas, continues to solidify himself as one of the most respected and authentic artists in the world. 

The pride of Sudan, Bas (Abbas Hamad) was born in Paris and raised in Queens, New York. His story, one that explores the many effects of the African diaspora, is the quintessential New York come-up story that highlights the importance of determination and consistency when chasing a dream.

During his music career, Bas has released 3 studio LPs and two EPs while collaborating with a very eclectic group of artists. Bas has been streamed hundreds of million times, sold out shows all over the world all while collecting RIAA certified plaques and grammy nominations. 

Following the release of The Jackie with J. Cole and Lil Tjay as well as Admire Her with Gunna, Bas has recently announced a new album and released a single and video called Diamonds.

Bas is returning to South Africa after three trips in 2022 to tap in with the Strictly Hip-Hop and Heineken family. Bas finds the energy in South Africa unmatched and is returning for more vibes.

Additionally, we have local stars Thato Saul and Money Badoo representing SA with live performances with top lyricist Touchline hosting.
