Thabo's and Lethabo Book Series: Grade 1 Outreach

The author of the Thabo and Lethabo Book Series, Dr Zanele Tlaka, will be visiting a few schools to engage grade 1 learners. The aim of the outreach is to encourage a love for reading to begin at a young age. Illiteracy remains a significant problem in South Africa.
An important objective of this outreach is gift each grade 1 learner with a book written in their home language, to encourage their parents to read with them, as many of their parents may be stronger reading in their home language than in English.
To make this happen, we request donations to sponsor a book for a child. One book is R100, but a donation of any amount is welcome and will certainly contribute to helping empower the growing minds of those with limited resources.
