Objective:
To provide a platform for unemployed South Africans to gain skills, network, and connect with potential employers, while raising awareness about the unemployment issue and seeking sustainable solutions. The Unemployed & Job Seekers South Africa Summit (Including Unemployed Graduates) also targets skilled/unskilled unemployed people.
Agenda:
Opening Ceremony (9:00 AM - 10:00 AM)
- Welcome address by a Member of Parliament
- Presentation on the current unemployment statistics and challenges in South Africa.
Skill Development Workshops (10:15 AM - 1:00 PM)
- Digital Literacy: Introduction to online job platforms, creating digital profiles, and basics of digital marketing.
- CV Building & Interview Skills: Crafting an effective CV and mastering interview techniques.
- Entrepreneurship 101: Exploring business opportunities and starting small-scale ventures.
Networking Lunch (1:00 PM - 2:00 PM)
Attendees can interact with potential employers, trainers, professionals, and other job seekers.
Panel Discussion (2:15 PM - 3:45 PM)
Topics: Addressing the unemployment crisis, understanding employer needs, and community initiatives.
Panelists: Government officials, business leaders, community leaders, professionals, and representatives from NGOs.
Job Fair (4:00 PM - 6:00 PM)
- Companies and organizations set up stalls to offer job opportunities and internships.
- Opportunity for attendees to apply for jobs on the spot.

Mentorship Corner: Successful professionals offer guidance and mentorship to attendees.
Digital Access Stations: Computers and internet access provided for job seekers to apply online and create digital portfolios.
Post-Event:
