ABOUT
Just Jesus Christian Counselling and Healing Conference, on April 5th and 6th, 2024, at Overflow Church in Fish Hoek, under the covering of Victory Church and The Deep River Worship Ministry.
This unique event is more than just a conference; it's a call to action for churches, Christian organisations and individuals to actively address the pressing mental health needs in their communities.
At its core, the Just Jesus Christian Counselling and Healing Conference looks at healing from a holistic perspective, recognising the interconnectedness of mind, body, soul, and spirit. It aims to inspire the body of Christ to rise up to be His hands and feet to a broken world.
Counselling psychologist and conference organiser Michelle Wanless states: "We firmly believe that churches play a pivotal role in tending to the mental health needs of our communities. Our objective is to empower them with tools that embrace the holistic nature of healing, enabling them to manifest the compassion of Jesus in action."
Expect two days filled with reflective Worship, enlightening Plenary Sessions, themed Panel Discussions, and engaging Breakout Sessions. Attendees will network, share Christ-centred tools, and explore various ministries through resource tables filled with valuable insights.
Day One will delve into discussions on God and healing, exploring the integration of psychological and Christian counselling theories aligned with the Bible. The emphasis will be on understanding that God's ways of working cannot be confined to a box, emphasising healing for the whole person—body, soul, and spirit. Speakers will present talks on counselling, trauma, physical healing and inner healing, with ministry times.
Day Two will focus on three (3) critical areas: Addiction, Counselling and Forgiveness, and Hearing God's Voice.
This conference offers not only an opportunity to equip the body of Christ but also a profound opportunity for all attendees to be ministered to. Ample time will be given for prayer and ministry. Ministry team is from The Deep River, Victory Church Cape Town, Overflow Church and Bethesda House.
Resource tables will further showcase tools and ministries available for personal or organisational use, creating an enriching environment for networking and exploration.
