A wonderful afternoon of German Lieder and English Songs and instrumental music, performed by two bass-baritones Christiaan Snyman and Chris van Staden, violinist Lizette Vosloo, flautist Kobus Groenewald. The accompanist is Neels Boonzaaier.

They will be performing well-loved songs and piano duets, and violin solos by Schubert, Brahms, Schumann, Strauss, Monti, Massenet and Vaughn Williams.

What makes this program interesting is that the bass-baritone voice demands the songs be transposed to interesting keys, that should fall fresh on the ear. Chris will be performing songs from two cycles "Winterreise" and "Songs of Travel" and "Mainacht" by Brahms.

Christiaan will perform single Lieder such as "Erlkönig" by Schubert, "Widmung" by Schumann, "Von ewige Liebe" by Brahms, and famous songs by Strauss.

Lizette and Kobus will team up for a bit of "musical-crossover" ranging from Brahms' Piano duet in D minor, Massenet's lovely "Meditation" and Monti's Czardas.
