Women of Rock moves between decades from the 60’s up until the 2000’s highlighting 27 iconic women in music! From Janis to Alannis, Patti Smith to Pink, and Blondie to the Bangles. RockSteady performs songs that everyone remembers and loves, reminding their audiences how women have always been at the forefront of music alongside the boys.
Starting the journey in late 2018, Women of Rock was performed at Cafe Roux Cape Town, Cafe Roux Noordhoek, and The Jagger Lounge numerous times to sold-out houses with rave reviews. The arrival of Covid put the band in hiding, but after a two and a half year Covid hiatus, RockSteady decided to relaunch Women of Rock and the show has continued to play to packed audiences around the Western Cape. Some of these wonderful venues include The Drama Factory (Somerset West), Cafe Roux (Noordhoek), Die Koelkamers (Paternoster) and Hillcrest Quarry (Durbanville), WoodStock Brewery (Cape Town) and Die Boer (Durbanville).
RockSteady’s Women of Rock’s is an energetic and fun musical feast that makes all audiences want to sing and dance all night long.
