Creepy Crawly Walk & Talk 2024

Sat Apr 20, 08:30 - Sat Apr 20, 11:30

The Sheds, Crocodile River Reserve

ABOUT

It's all about Creepy Crawlies at our April Walk and Talk!

Spiders, scorpions and solifugae, these are the kind of Creepy Crawlies that will be the topic of conversation at the CRR environmental awareness event for April.

Jonathan Leeming, a leading expert in SA on spiders and scorpions will take us out into the beautiful Egoli Granite Grasslands and introduce us to the little creatures we may normally perceive as a threat, or a pest. At the end of this event, you will have a completely different take on these delightful little creatures. Their role in any ecosystem is one of predator, and prey. They all have remarkable survival skills, adaptations and hunting skills and they help to regulate the populations of insects. Their value is significant.

If you enjoy spending a morning out in nature and would like to know more about the natural world around us join us at The Sheds @ Birdsong, Gemstone Road (off the R511), Crocodile River Reserve on Saturday the 20th of April at 8H30 for this popular event. We will finish at 11h30. The costs are R95 per adult and R45 per child 12 and under.
