ABOUT

MADE Creative Workshops at the Watershed : The Macrame Knot

We’ve launched MADE Creative Workshops at Watershed.

We’ll be hosting monthly creative gatherings with a different local maker each time—someone who’s running a successful business at Watershed. During these interactive workshops, you’ll get to create something of your own while you enjoy an insider’s take on craft and design and experiment with your hands in new ways.

Join us this Africa Day 25 & 26 May for a workshop by Knot Again, where you can learn the art of the macrame knot and make your own plant holder to take home.

What's Included in the Ticket Prize?

  • All materials needed to make a plant holder
  • Group and individual facilitation by Linnet Nyoni of Knot Again
  • Light refreshments, e.g. coffee and snacks
  • Watershed Tote bag with goodies

About the business

Knot Again is a small textile business founded in 2015 by a sister duo, Hlah and Linnet Nyoni, in Durban, South Africa and has continued to grow since then. They produce handmade products such as handbags, pot plant holders, wall decorations, hanging chairs, hammocks, pet beds, and so much more using the macrame technique. Macramé is a form of art that has been popular for centuries as a method of crafting a textile produced using knotting techniques. It is done with just hands without any tools.
