Lineshree is the Country Head for Visa, South Africa. With 17 years of retail banking experience, she boasts diverse experience working with Financial Institutes, MNOs and Fintechs at all stages, designing multi-faceted payments strategies, from the digitisation of payments to innovative, non-traditional and future banking models within SSA.

With a passionate focus on unlocking ecosystem value through Financial Services, Lineshree is driven by the direct influence it has to improve economies, accelerate business growth and change people’s lives, both in South Africa and across the African continent.

Meagan is a results-oriented Senior Director at VISA, specializing in Fintech across Sub-Saharan Africa. With a passion for responsible financial solutions, she leads teams in designing and implementing innovative products for small businesses.

Meagan excels in developing business strategies, fostering partnerships with Fintechs, and driving growth initiatives. Her leadership and motivational skills have been recognized through numerous awards, and she brings a wealth of experience in M&A integration and commercial law to her role.

Dr Rael Futerman
Dr Rael Futerman 

Dr Futerman is focussed on driving a human-centered design approach to challenge-based learning that results in real impact. He work with a multi-disciplinary team to integrate technology into future-readiness programmes and platforms aimed at equipping people with the skills needed to navigate an increasingly volatile and ambiguous world.

Dr Futerman is especially interested in how Design Thinking can contribute to strategic business development, both in developing citizen scholars as entrepreneurs and innovators able to navigate uncertainty and produce socially relevant product-service systems; as well as building intrapreneurship capabilities within corporate venturing units. He designs and runs virtual/blended programmes in Design Thinking, Venture Design, Innovative Entrepreneurship and Creative Leadership

Louisette Hofmeyr

Louisette is Director of Alliance banking at Paymentology, a global issuer processor with firm roots in South Africa. She qualified as a chartered accountant and went on to fill various financial management and accounting positions. She spent 7 years at MasterCard where she worked in finance, strategy, and account management. In her current role she is responsible for managing the relationship with sponsor banks who enable the Paymentology ‘card-in-a-box’ solution. And lastly, she is passionate about design thinking and innovation.

As COO of Lula, Thomas leads the people, operations, and product team. He led the launch of the Lula Bank and BFM products, teaming up with Mastercard and Access Bank. Before Lula, he led the development of financial products at Virgin Money South Africa, including Spot Money. Thomas has a sharp focus on crafting practical tools for business owners, leveraging customer-centric discovery and agile delivery.

Lerato Sekhukhune is a seasoned legal and business professional with over 16 years of experience. Currently, she heads up Strategic Alliance Partnership and Personal Market at Bidvest Bank, leveraging her proven ability to cultivate strong relationships and forge strategic alliances. Lerato’s career trajectory demonstrates her versatility and depth of knowledge. She began at PwC, honing her expertise in tax and immigration consulting. Transitioning to financial services, she excelled in legal recoveries during COVID before taking on a business development role at Bidvest Financial Services.
Leading the Way at Bidvest Bank : In her current leadership role at Bidvest Bank Lerato spearheads strategic alliance partnerships and the personal market. She thrives in fostering mutually beneficial collaborations and driving growth within the personal banking sector. Lerato is a passionate advocate for women’s empowerment in the business world. Her impact initiative, the Women’s Den empowered four previously disadvantaged beauty therapists by securing Sorbet Franchise stores for them. She continues to mentor these women providing invaluable financial guidance to ensure their success. Lerato’s life motto remains “the flower that blooms in adversity is the most rare and beautiful of all” reflects her resilience and unwavering commitment to growth, even in challenging circumstances. Lerato holds a BCom in Law and Accounting, Higher Diploma in Tax Law, Postgraduate Diploma in Commercial and Banking Law and is an Admitted Attorney of High Court.
