The CRR Nature Explorer’s Club explores Biodiversity!
Let’s celebrate International Biodiversity Day with the CRR Nature Explorer’s Club on Saturday the 25th of May!
Pack a picnic lunch and make a day of it. Enjoy relaxing in the beautiful Autum weather while you child goes on a Biodiversity Treasure Hunt, learns how to increase the biodiversity of their gardens at home by adding a bird feeder they have made themselves and so much more. Join in the nature walk and experience the beauty of the grasslands with your child.
The CRR Nature Explorer’s Club is all about teaching children to enjoy and appreciate nature, and instilling in them the understanding that for us to have a healthy life we must take care of the environment which provides us with our most basic needs – air, water and food.
We would like to reach as many children as possible with this message so if you are able to sponsor a child for this outing please let us know. This will cost R80 and includes a lunch pack.
We will be meeting at The Sheds @ Birdsong, Gemstone Road, Crocodile River Reserve, Pretoria Rural for this exciting outing. The date will be Saturday 25th May 2024, and we start at 9h00 and will finish at 13h00. Pack in a picnic lunch for your child and make sure they are wearing old cloths and comfortable walking shoes, sun block and a hat. The cost is R60 per child, all ages welcome. Although the activities will be the same, they will be adapted to suit the different ages.
NOTE: Please use Google Maps to find the Reserve, as Waze is not accurate in rural areas.

Who will be inspiring our children to value our natural world?
The activities and outings have been put together and are led by Sulize Veldsman from SEE Nature, who is in partnership with the CRR. Sulize has a diploma in Nature Management, specializing in Environmental Education, is a Mother, and resident of the Area.
