SOCIAL MEDIA BARBECUE BRUNCH

The Social media Barbecue Brunch, formerly “Twitter Barbecue Party”, is a networking and fun party with the intention of bringing together Ugandans on social media platforms for a meet and greet musical event. This event was driven by a popular outcry and demand from many people in the digital space who craved to have a better networking event where they can connect, share ideas and opportunities in the digital economy in Uganda.

To spice it up, we have barbecue, drinks, feature DJs and musicians who appeal to the X and other social media platforms audience amidst different indoor games that keep the revelers connected as they network.

The first edition of the Twitter Barbecue Party that was held on 20th July, 2019 at Swahili Gardens in Kungu garnered a crowd of 700+ revelers. The turn up was expected to hit the 1,000 mark however due to unforeseen weather conditions, and distance to the party venue, the target was not achieved. We have had 8 editions so far and all have garnered a huge number of people especially the recent one that we held at Kati Kati grounds.

Due to public demand, the Twitter Barbecue Brunch edition has been slated for 13th December 2025 at Central Perk in Bukoto on Old Kira Road and this time round, the intended turn up is projected to surpass 500+ revelers.
