ABOUT
The beautiful Crystal Pool Hiking Trail is a very popular and fairly easy hike to a series of mountain pools in a beautiful Valley known as the Steenbras River Gorge, but it officially forms part of the Steenbras Nature Reserve, and the hike follows the Palmiet River up the gorge. The hike leads to a series of five deep, natural rock pools.
The Crystal Pools hike is an exiting, refreshing, nature induced hiking adventure with beautiful scenery, birdlife and indigenous fynbos. The Kogelberg Biosphere is one of the riches areas of fynbos in the Western Cape, home to one of the world’s six Floral Kingdoms.
