Sat Mar 30, 11:00 - Sat Mar 30, 16:00
Unit B10 Soute
ABOUT
In cooperation with Food Jams by Jade de Waal and graffiti artist Mak1one, the African Impact Foundation is organizing a fundraising event that is all about sipping, spraying and eating!
The proceeds of the fundraiser go towards The Girl Impact project which is a joint project of the African Impact Foundation and the volunteer organisation African Impact. The main target is to finance the enrollment of 13 women and 1 man from our partnering centres in Khayelitsha into an Art Therapy Facilitator Training program.
The core idea of EDGE is for the participants to have a relaxed Saturday whilst creating a graffiti-style wall painting for a group of children at an after-school care centre in Khayelitsha, eating good Gatsbies, sipping nice drinks and socialising!
The Gatsby and one Gin & Tonic are included in the ticket price, more drinks can be purchased at a cash bar.
March 30th @ Unit B10 Soute, Yew Street 45, Salt River, Cape Town.
The program of the event:
11:00 - Meet at Soute in Salt River where we start a short graffiti/mural walking tour led by Mak1one around Salt River
12:00 - Return to the venue for a brief introduction to the event
12:30 - 15:30 The program consists of three stations which will be occupied by one group at a time:
- preparing Gatsbies with Jade de Waal
- graffiti painting with Mak1one
- eating, sipping and socialising
16:00 Event ends.
We are looking forward to sipping, spraying and making an impact with you!
