Quraish Behari is the CEO of Derivco – a leading software development and IT services company in the global gaming world, employing over 1500 of the brightest minds in the industry, across six offices in South Africa, Costa Rica, Australia and the Isle of Man.
Having started his career as a Software Developer, Quraish quite literally learnt the technology “business” from the inside out. Coming from a tech background, he brings a unique point of view to the boardroom table as he works to shape a culture where technologists can thrive.
Alexandria is the CEO and cofounder of DigsConnect.com, Africa’s largest student accommodation marketplace. She is 26 years old, from the Eastern Cape, and moved to Cape Town to study a science degree at the University of Cape Town. During her undergrad, she was elected to the Students’ Representative Council, and had the portfolio which included off campus housing for students.
It was this experience which led to her start DigsConnect.com as her solution to the recurrent student housing crises in South Africa. Building DigsConnect.com from scratch as a student, it’s now grown into Africa’s largest student accommodation marketplace, and recently raised one of the biggest seed funding rounds in South Africa to date.
Alexandria is passionate about entrepreneurship, technology, literature and politics.
