Sally-Anne Käsner

Circular-Vision (linked on www.circular-vision.com)  was founded by Sally-Anne in July 2018 to assist companies / organisations to transition to a circular economy. The intention is to understand the core business and the value chain to assess where the most appropriate point of entry is to start making the transition to circularity. A background in waste management and many years in the sustainability consulting environment (since 2003), has provided a sound base from which to work. Products and packaging need to be designed with circular economic principles in mind from the start to ensure material integrity along the value chain. Sally-Anne Käsner is also a founding member and Operational Manager for EcoStandard (083-558-NPO – www.ecostandard.co.za), and a founding member of the African Circular Economy Network (195-590-NPO – www.acen.africa).

Leonie Joubert

'Science writer Leonie Joubert has spent the past 17 years writing about climate change, energy policy, invasive species, and the hunger-obesity poverty-paradox in our cities. She’s now turning her pen towards two new journalistic ‘beats’: the likely decline in mental health as communities face the existential threat of societal breakdown and climate-capitalism collapse; and ‘solutions' journalism, because she’s tired of spending her days doing what feels like a doomsday audit as the climate emergency unfolds over the course of her lifetime. She is based in Cape Town, South Africa.’

Lee Rael 

Lee is the founder of Seed, a sustainable design agency, host on Seedpod podcast and has a strong desire to effect positive change in the world around him. Lee will be facilitating the conversation on the night.
