As we take to the streets we explore the former mining camp of Ferreirasdorp.


Travel along pedestrianised Main Street to revel in the splendor of the amalgamated mining houses and relive the opulence of the Randlords.


We will make our way up Harrison street to explore architecture that is so out of place in Africa


A stroll up Historical Commissioner street will take us past some of the most prestigious banks in town, after which we will reach Market square, where, until today, you can purchase fresh produce from local vendors.


We will have lunch in the illustrious Rand Club - a Joburg institution from where we will depart to the Parktown Ridge to explore Northwards Mansion, a fantastic example of the grandeur of early Johannesburg.


The walk is about 6km and 6 hours in duration.

Fee includes: Transport from and back to Rosebank, Water bottle, Snack and light lunch in the club as well as an R80 donation toward the Johannesburg Heritage Foundation!


The tour fee is R400
