INDEPENDENCE MEAT AND KATCHUP 

INTRODUCTION 

The independence Meat and Katchup is a social fun event designed to bring together citizens and well-wishers to celebrate the LIBERTY and FREEDOM to socialize in a peaceful environment. MEAT and KATCHUP is a metaphor for meeting and catching up. 

DESCRIPTION 

This is a social fun event designed to take place annually on Independence Day at different locations. the event involves different activities such as board games, Kwepena,skipping,tag of war, silent disco, music (By different Ugandan DJ's), boat rides. etc. 

We expect to attract between 1000-1500 and more people from all parts of the country since its a national event.

Corkage on Drinks and eats will be an incentive to attract the university students. One category of tickets will be sold to promote homogeneousness among revelers. 

The dress code will be national flag colors: Black, Yellow, Red and White. We believe this is an appropriate dress code because it reminds us of brotherhood, sun that represents the good climate that makes Uganda the pearl of Africa, blood that binds us and most importantly peace. 

Vendors will be available selling local products such as independence souvenirs, beverages, roasted meat and many more to the revelers. 

OBJECTIVES 

1. To increase the level of patriotism among citizens especially the youth. 
2. To increase the revelers social capital done by networking. 
3. To celebrate freedom and to remember those who made independence possible. 
4. Perpetuation of sovereignty by all ethnic people with their collective strengths.

Market research 

Sponsors will be able to identify key characteristics of revelers that will help them in product formulation. This can be done by providing questionnaires to revelers. 

 Increased Brand Exposure and visibility 

Winners of various games will be awarded with gifts from various sponsors. This is evidenced by promotional items like shirts, caps tear drops etc. 

Promotions and Social Campaigns 

We will utilize our social media campaigns to connect with your target market and engage them with promotions to get them excited about the event.

Due to the large customer base at the event sponsors will be able to maximize sales.
