Please join us at The Ridge for 3 sessions highlighting the importance of helping the boys develop an internal framework for self worth that is not dependant on external factors.
This 3 part workshop. will assist parents to understand the value of teaching their children that they are so much more than the marks they receive and what team they represent.
It will guide you to nurture their ability to identify their uniqueness based on individual strengths and talents.
Session One: Parenting for strong core values (The home) 2 ½ hr
Session Two: Parenting for a life of learning and good partnerships (The School) 2 ½ hr
Session Three: Parenting for life going forward (The future) 2 ½ hr
There will be a R100 cost for each workshop or R250 for all 3 sessions.
· Session 1 : 22nd February (Saturday) 09:00 start until approx. 12:00 in the hall
· Session 2 : 4th April (Saturday) 09:00 start until approx. 12:00 in the hall
· Session 3 : 16th May (Saturday) 09:00 start until approx. 12:00 in the hall
Facilitators: Rod Charlton and Prof. Rob Pluke
Rod lectured at RAU before going on to start his own consulting practice in 1998. He specialises in performance and positive psychology, the science of human strengths and talents and the conditions in which they flourish. Rod currently works with elite sportsmen and women as well as organisations and
some of South Africa’s leading independent schools. His focus is creating positive cultures that challenge people to become their very best.
Rob has a PhD in Counselling Psychology; he has worked in Private Practice
for over 20 years. An author of two books on parenting (“Parenting the sensitive child” and “A son t be proud of”) and a sought-after speaker and facilitator. He has worked with some of South Africa’s leading Independent schools and internationally. He has a deep passion for Father – Child relationships, helping parents to be the very best Dad/Mom that they can be for their children.
