"I attended the Phatt Society event on 31 January 2026 and overall it was a great experience. The DJs were amazing and kept the vibe going all day, and the MC was fantastic and very engaging. The venue was stunning, the toilets were clean, and everything was well organised, including the queues we didn’t have to stand in line for long, which was really appreciated. However, I do feel the event was extremely expensive. The bottle corkage fee of R150 per bottle is quite high, especially since people already paid an entry fee of between R200 and R250. It would also be nice if attendees were allowed to bring in their own ice, chasers, and cool drinks. Inside the venue, paying over R100 just for five small cans of chasers for hard liquor is a bit much. Not being allowed to bring in ciders was also disappointing, as we then had to buy them inside for R250 for a six pack, which is very expensive. Everything about the event itself was great, but the overall costs made it very pricey to attend. Allowing people to bring in their own ice and chasers at least would really help and make the experience more affordable. "
