About

The Catholic Centenary Memorial Choir was established in 1978 in commemoration of the centenary celebration of the Catholic Church in Uganda. The choir consists of talented choristers from different parishes who are dedicated to promoting liturgical music and providing spiritual nourishment through their performances.

CACEMCHO has gained recognition for its exceptional vocal harmonies, musical arrangements, and heartfelt renditions of Catholic hymns and songs. The choir has performed at various religious events, concerts, and festivals both nationally and internationally. They have also released several albums, showcasing their musical talent and devotion to their faith.

The Catholic Centenary Memorial Choir (CACEMCHO) is honored to host its major choral concert in celebration its 48 years of existence titled “Gaudete et Cantate Domino”, a Latin expression meaning “Rejoice and Sing to the Lord.”

The concert will be an evening of sacred, classical, and contemporary choral music performed by one of Uganda’s distinguished Catholic choirs. The event will attract members of the Catholic community, music enthusiasts, cultural patrons, corporate leaders, and the general public.
